Wound Treatments
As a participant in NESWC's wound care program, our physicians and nurse practitioners come to you. Not only does this eliminate the time and costs associated with transporting patients to remote facilities, it also avoids the risk of exposing residents to outside treatment centers as well as exposure to the elements.
State-of-the-Art Products
With so many wound care products available today, the choice can be overwhelming. NESWC has tested most of the more than 2,000 products on the market and has chosen those that have resulted in the greatest success. We can also work with your current product provider, as long as we both agree that the products have been proven to be effective.
Bedside Debriding
NESWC's trained physicians and nurse practitioners also provide bedside debridement, thus alleviating the need for transportation as well as eliminating the expensive debriding agents that are commonly used today.
Minimized Maintenance
By using advanced products and procedures, dressings can remain on the wound for much longer periods than with traditional wound care. Dressings that used to be changed twice a day can now be changed twice a week. The result is that nurses are relieved of frequent changes and can devote more time to the overall care of their residents.
A Word about Reimbursement
Because we are consultant physicians and nurse practitioners, all of our services-including educational programs and patient visits-are provided to you at no cost. We accept Medicare, Medicaid and participate in most managed care programs. |
